We recently issued a statement in regard to an incident that occurred during an Under 18’s match between Portland United and Merley Cobham Sports on 24 September 2023.
We received several calls from media outlets about the incident, so it was important for us to clarify that the event was not connected to our club and that we 'Merley Cobham Sports Youth' are a separate club to 'Merley Cobham Sports' who have their own Under 18's team.
I want to be completely transparent that our club has ZERO tolerance to any form of abuse.
